done heaps

Heyho. Once more I was surfing through the net and visited my blog though I didnt really expect any comments or anything interesting (but there was one, juhuuuuu!!=) and suddenly realised, that its been ages since my last post.

We already left Christchurch about one and a half weeks ago. After that we drove straight to Queenstown (we made it in 6 hours, pretty proud bout that=) where we stayed for two nights with two really nice kiwis we got to know at the world bar. Queenstown was great fun, especially the Canyon Swing I did. Canyon Swing: You get attached to a rope and then jump from a platform which is about 110 metres above the ground. Its great fun!!

After that we headed off to Te Anau which is a real touristy town as well a bit further north, bout two hours from Milford Sounds. The second day there we did a horse track which was beautiful but our bumps hurt badly the next few days and so we decided that walking is the way to go. We did a track to Mt Luxmore, spent a night at Luxmore Hutt and walked back down again. Pretty awesome views from up there...

The next day not only our bumps hurt, but also our legs (especially my right knee, it didnt enjoy the 6 hours downhill, we did the second day), so we decided that it is worth takin a hostel for a night. At Te Anau Backpackers we got to know Martin a Slovakian guy, we started talkin and realised that we all wanted to see Milford Sounds for a day. Not only to share petrol but also to have some nice company, we decided to go together. We were woken up the next morning at half past 6!!!! Milford Sound was aaaawwwesome, we took a real tourist boat tour and did some smaller tracks on the way back. When we arrived in Te Anau round 4ish we got our staff sorted (at least kind of=) and drove off to Riverton afterwords. We spent the night at a "scenic lookout" and when we woke up we had an amazing view over the whole village and the sea in front of it. (Its always fun parking at "scenic lookouts" when its dark, you never know what to expect in the morning=).

Today we were woken up by a beautiful sunrise, but fell asleep again and took our time while heading off towards Invercargill and thats where we are now. Actually I realised that I forgot my wallet in Te Anau what sucks pretty much. I rang our Backpackers a few minutes ago and they found it. All the credit cards are still in it so thats all good, but i am not too keen on goin all the way back, but what can I do...

Alright then, Anna is already waitin for me since quite a while so I need to hurry up.

C you, Pia
